     Bro. Matt Lucas became our Minister of Music and Education at Calvary Baptist Lawton in Aug. 2008. He has served and supplied in Baptist churches throughout Oklahoma since 2001. He served as Minister of Music at Lakeview Baptist Church Norman, OK. for 4 yrs before being lead to Letitia Baptist Church were he served for 5 yrs before coming to CBC. While serving at Letitia Baptist Church, it became one of the fastest growing Southern Baptist Churches in Oklahoma. Bro. Matt has worked with the Children and Youth Departments at all previous churches. He has also supplied as a church pianist throughout Southern Oklahoma since 1995.

Bro. Matt passion is directing Praise Teams, Choirs, and Church Drama Teams. He has directed both Easter, Christmas Cantatas, and also directed “Heaven or Hell The Choice is Yours” program.

Bro. Matt attended the University of Oklahoma were he majored in Music Education. While at the University of Oklahoma he played in the Pride of Oklahoma Marching Band and took private Piano and Instrumental lessons. From Norman, he moved his family to Lawton, Oklahoma where he is now attending Cameron University.

In August 2010, Calvary Baptist Church Ordained Bro. Matt Lucas into the Gospel Ministry.

Bro. Matt is married to Bayli and has three beautiful children Morgan, Kaden, and Macie Lucas.

He enjoys carpentry work, family time, and Seeing Souls Won for Christ!
