Capital Stewardship Program

 In August, 2006, the members of Calvary Baptist Church voted to institute a capital stewardship program for purchasing a parcel of land in southwest  Lawton.  The property is located one-quarter mile south of Lee Blvd on 82nd street.  How wonderful it is to be a part of a church that God is using to change lives!  We are moving toward a new dawn at Calvary.  Our faith in Jesus is strong, as is our vision for the future.  Our desire to continue the work this church has stood for since its inception is at hand.

 How Far Can You See?

A Christian mother asked her son to wash his hands before he sat down to an evening meal.  Grumbling all the way to the bathroom, he said under his breath, "Germs and Jesus!  That's all I ever hear around this house and I've never seen either one."  It appears the boy's understanding was a bit clouded on health and spiritual issues.

If only God can see the future, then why should we focus on it?  Well, because He gives us the power to influence the future for good.

Calvary Baptist Church of Lawton is a place that God is using to change lives, and you are an important part of it.  God has called Christians  to strengthen the world for Jesus Christ, and we believe the Forward in Faith campaign is a vital project that will be used to expand God's Kingdom for reaching the lost in the Lawton-Fort Sill community.

Calvary has spread with the growth of Lawton; at times with chapels that have grown to be churches with their own congregations, or with ministries that reach to the needy of the community.  The Forward in Faith campaign continues the legacy of those who came before us through Faith and Belief in our Lord Jesus.

Lawton is a growing city spreading its boundaries and our church has an opportunity to spread the influence of Jesus Christ along with it.
